Master
Key.
Time + Space + Mind. These Locks did not open with separate keys. They opened through understanding and practice. With all three now available as deliberate decisions, one Master Key comes to light.
From control to visual language
Intent → Interlock → Resolve
The Master Key is the point where the three controls stop behaving like isolated lessons. You start with what the photograph must communicate, decide which control leads, let the other two support it, then refine the outcome without losing the original intention.

Interlock
Choose which Lock leads each photograph. Time may lead movement, Space may lead attention, or Mind may lead the acceptable compromise. The other two controls support that decision.

Resolve
Select, crop, straighten, refine and sequence only in ways that protect the original intent. The final test is whether the intention survives the entire process.
Advanced practice
One intention. Three photographs.
Build a three-image resolved series. Start with one clear intention and a simple field plan. Make three final photographs. For each image, identify the leading Lock, explain how the other two interlocked with it, then reflect on what changed during selection and refinement.
Success condition: the three images feel connected because the decisions are connected - not because the settings are the same.
Field notes / historical layer
The View through the lens
The 2015 The View Through the Lens material can sit beside this stage as optional field notes rather than becoming another step in the pathway: origin and place; planning, light and camera decisions; editing and refinement. It demonstrates the same movement from observation to decision to resolved outcome in earlier practice.
The publication material is reference context, not a gate. The Master Key remains earned by completing Three Locks.
