Record the essential microscopy inputs, calculated scale and field of view, key measurements, observations and relationship to the wider work. The register stays report-led and deliberately simple.
Measurement ruleEnter the pixel dimensions of the actual RAW frame and the final crop used for the print. Field of view and subject size are calculated from the active objective calibration. RAW defaults to 5168 × 3448 px but remains fully editable; crop dimensions remain independent.
One record per image, study or test. Enter the capture date with the rest of the record. Objective calibration supplies the scale; crop dimensions supply the final field of view.

All four objectives are now directly calibrated with the same 0.1 mm stage micrometer. Keep or update the µm/px value for each objective if the optical path changes. Each saved record stores the scale used at the time.

Copy register HTML: copies only the Cellestial register module — its styling, records, calibration and register logic. Website header, footer and Zenfolio page HTML are excluded.
How measurement works
Field of view: final crop width × µm/px and final crop height × µm/px. If no crop is entered, the RAW dimensions are used. Subject size: pixel span × µm/px. Final supplied calibration: 4× 1.05595 · 10× 0.43504 · 40× 0.11123 · 100× Oil 0.04380 µm/px.
Open the PDF view, then choose Print / Save PDF. In the print dialog, select Save as PDF, A4, 100% scale and turn off headers and footers.
Choose the register order below. Entry order is based on when each record was first saved; photograph date uses the date recorded for the image. Search the register from one field. Results cover the current record information, including date, subject/material, objective, RAW and crop dimensions, FOV, scale, measurements, sample condition, capture settings, stack count, keywords and notes.
