Guernsey's new skate parkI got a tip off today about guernseys new skate park at Beau Sejour, had no idea this had been given the go let alone finished with people skating already. Have to give it to them on the layout and design its pretty cool and they have managed to fit in pretty much everything you could ask for, small half pipe, bowl, couple of quarter pipes doted around few steps and boxes, and tuns of rails, all i can say is sweeeeeet. I have to say i didn't plan on staying and taking that many pics, i was just enjoying standing there watching and admiring what donations and funds raised by the guernsey extreme sports association has brought to the skating community, if only the states could have pulled there finger out and built this years ago! but hey i wouldn't be human if i didn't moan about our government. Ok so its still early days and very busy but as it dies down and relaxes a bit i can see some great talent coming from this and a lot more people taking up the sport, i spoke to a bloke called Jamie Grainger in the park and he's literally got straight back in to it after being of a board for 3 years, its even tempted me to jump back in to it after 10 years. Anyway will have to see about that one ;) I'v always wanted to shoot this kind sport obviously due to my background and the work i do now. Want to say Big thanks to the guys who didn't mind me taking pics and for letting me get in there way with out them running me over (nearly) Added the last pic not just because i thought the skaters would appreciate it but because it makes me feel younger ;) Remember to check out our Facebook Page JR Photography and the Group that made it happen Guernsey Extreme Sports Association (GXSA) Click on an image to open Gallery.
